Terracotta Star & Cross Spanish tiles ground the bathroom in warmth and texture, introducing a handmade finish that runs throughout the design. The variation in tone and surface creates a natural base layer that feels organic and timeless.

The bath niche and skirting are finished in gloss Rice tiles, where subtle irregularity and soft surface movement create a gentle contrast to the matte terracotta. The reflective quality is understated, allowing light to shift across the surfaces without overpowering the space.

Hand-glazed Japanese square mosaic tiles are used on the vanity splashback and bath niche, introducing tonal depth and dimensional variation. Fired through traditional tunnel kiln methods, each tile carries slight differences that enhance the authenticity of the finish.

The wall-hung vanity in light ash vertical grain brings a softer timber note into the scheme, lightening and balancing the surrounding tilework.

A fluted glass shower screen brings vertical texture and diffusion, softening the enclosure while maintaining openness. Brushed nickel fixtures are used throughout, maintaining a calm and cohesive palette.

Whitewash rattan accents have been introduced through styling, adding a soft natural layer that complements the warmth of the terracotta and the tonal variation in the tilework.

This project reflects texture and tone, driven by material variation. A quiet balance of surface, light, and material contrast across every surface.
