Oyster Incense Holder in Brass by Corey Ashford

Oyster Incense Holder in Brass by Corey Ashford
The oyster, one of the ocean's most delicate treasures, has been worked in solid brass to be part of your incense ritual. Cast from a Sydney rock oyster shell and designed to delicately catch falling ash, each oyster is individually cast and hand polished to a mirror-finish.
Material: Brass
Dimensions: 8.5cm L x 6.5cm W x 3cm H approx. 3mm opening.
Weight: 120g
Your Brass Oyster comes delicately wrapped in a fabric pouch, perfect for gifting.
Being handmade, variations in finish only add beauty to each piece and show their dissimilarity to the mass produced. Markings have been intentionally left on the piece to mimic the natural formation of an oyster shell.
Our Brass Oyster has been designed to be used alongside our range of Luxury Japanese Incense.
Care: Crafted by artisans, our Oysters have been left untreated, allowing them patina naturally. To reduce tarnishing, use a soft cloth to wipe the surface free of moisture, oils and particles after use. To restore a 'like-new' finish, polish with a metal polishing cloth or solution, then buff clean.
Brass is a soft metal which can mark if treated poorly.
Shipping: In stock items ship within 1 week

The Block Printing Process
The traditional process of hand block printing on textiles has been practiced in Rajasthan for around 500 years. A print starts with the design, drawn on paper and meticulously carved by hand into the wooden blocks by skilled artisans.
