Cast from a real Tasmanian shell, our Silver Scallop has been designed as both functional incense holder and sculptural weight.
The shell has been cast in brass and hand-polished, before being plated in shimmering silver. With an opening to delicately hold your incense stick, the shell has been selected for both its beauty and function, as its fluted shell will catch ash that may fall within its embrace.
When turned, our the piece showcases the natural formations of the shell to create a sculptural weight inspired by antiquity - ideal to hold splayed papers and open books.

Your Silver Oyster comes delicately wrapped in a fabric pouch, perfect for gift giving.
Being handmade, variations in finish only add beauty to each piece and show their dissimilarity to the mass produced. Markings have intentionally been left on the piece to mimic the natural formation of an oyster shell.
Our Silver Oyster has been designed to be used alongside our range of Luxury Japanese Incense.
Care: Crafted by artisans, our silver-plated pieces have been coated in silver to leave a shimmering metallic finish. To clean, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to wipe the surface free of oils, moisture and ash. Avoid metal cleaning agents and hard surfaces, as chemicals, bumps and knocks may cause wear to the plating.

The traditional process of hand block printing on textiles has been practiced in Rajasthan for around 500 years. A print starts with the design, drawn on paper and meticulously carved by hand into the wooden blocks by skilled artisans.
